My parents, Dot and Dart Peterson, are the inspiration for Cruise Lake Champlain. Despite their modest means, they made it a priority to introduce all three of their children to a wide variety of enriching experiences throughout our formative years.

Sometimes in cramped station wagons, other times in rented RVs, Dot and Dart treated us to countless road trips, and we had visited every state east of the Mississippi by the time I was 10 years old.
